Red, White and ZOO!

Mary said "What if we did our photo walk at the zoo?" "The ZOO??" I replied... "Yes, the zoo!"
Hmmmm. I thought about animals and crowds and cages of course... could it work? Would it be the right backdrop for formal wedding portraits?
Well, you be the judge. I think that our walk through the park was a beautiful setting for this brightly colored bridal party. And of course, it provided just the right and mostly fun backdrop for our lovely bride Mary and her handsome groom Derek.

"Barn Formal" Wedding at Cherry Basket Farms!

Have you ever considered celebrating your wedding day by holding your reception at a refurbished farm property in the country? If it was in Leelanau County in Michigan you would. Megan and James did and what a wonderful celebration! "Barn Formal" is what her father called it; with a fabulous dinner served under an elegant tent next to a large white barn that later held the band and dancing. Megan wore an elegantly simple white dress with pink high heel shoes, perfect for a barn dance! The food was fresh, locally grown and beautifully prepared by Epicure Catering at Cherry Basket Farms.
It was quite a night, quite a wedding and a heck of a good barn dance!

Cristen loves Aaron, Aaron loves Cristen

I just love this couple and I love these photos. They were married in a forest garden filled with flowers and lanterns and rose petals, it was sooo beautiful. But everything about this day was beautiful! The light, the flowers, the couple, the vibe! However, I have to say that my all time favorite color of bridal shoes would have to be RED!
