Traditions!

A traditional macedonian wedding is something special to photograph! The wedding celebration was filled with ethnic traditions, like drinking wine out of a shoe, like auctioning off flowers so that the bride will come out of her room, and kicking a can in front of her parents house, on the way to the ceremony. There were so many cultural customs being practiced, that it was a fun and satisfying shooting day- and a wedding that begins the fabled story of Danny and Priscilla.

Barefoot in the Park!

What a wonderful feeling to walk in the park, barefoot! right after you get married!
I just reveled in the relaxed and comfortably romantic pose of this couple walking barefoot in the park and the cool grass right after their ceremony! Crystal and David have known each other for 12 years and finally decided to tie the knot at a church in Wayne, Michigan. Immediately after the ceremony we went over to Goudy Park for some photos with the bridal party and the couple. It was here that their personalities really came through, romping in the grass, smelling the flowers and the blooms on all of the trees. Their white attire really popped out from the green of the landscape.
How lovely!
How romantic!

Getting hitched in Texas!

So where does a woman from Los Angeles and a guy who works in Nigeria decide to get married? Why , Texas of coarse! Marla and Steven exchanged nuptials at the All Saints Catholic Church in the Heights and then moved their guests over to the Heights Fire Museum for a lively and spirited celebration of their marriage. Marla had eleven attendants- that might be a record number of attendants in my book! After the ceremony, we took a few moments to make some lasting memories outside the church in the gardens. The daylight was almost gone, but with modern technology, a super fast ISO and a super fast lens dark twilight is no longer an obstacle. I happen to love the blue tint to the photo
